From The President
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear members and friends,
The role of the Thai Spa Association has essentially remained unchanged since being established in March 2003 however the work load has changed significantly due in no small part to the commitment and dedication of our members in expanding our world-wide reputation. As the kingdoms oldest, largest and most active spa industry association we continue to expand our network further, even signing an MOU with the China National Spa Association to ensure close co-operation between our two nations.
As we approach our 6th Anniversary in March 2009, expectations of our members and the government continue to grow, as does that of the broader community. Spa while still a luxury holiday choice for some has become a lifestyle choice for many.
Business & Marketing opportunities
for our members are ever increasing, as are the Educational opportunities. Our new look website is under going continued development, including now accepting advertising to offset running costs, video streaming, and in the future, on-line membership applications and real-time spa bookings. We are happy to receive your feedback for even more improvements.
Our e-newsletter is being circulated to a growing number of email addresses, with Business & Marketing Opportunities being accessible only by members log in. This is for Members Only, so if you would like to benefit from these opportunities and are not a member yet, please click on Membership Details tab on the right-hand side of your screen now, and download the application form.
Educational Opportunities
include those offered to members through our involvement in the European Union Asia Invest programme, where we will be training 1,000 Thai Spa therapists over a two year period (2007/2008), monthly networking events with industry speakers and in March 2009, the Asia Spa & Wellness Summit by TSPA, as part of the Asia Spa & Wellness Festival 2009 at Royal Paragon Hall, Bangkok are just some of the opportunities that our members can benefit from.
TSPA holds the position of National Representative with the Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Council and our regular communications with all other Asia Pacific Spa Associations through this network ensure that TSPA members have access to the latest regional information.
The TSPA Board remains committed to our industry and is constantly seeking new opportunities for our members, however we also need the assistance of our members through their involvement in activities and / or volunteer your services to assist with association work in order to maximise the opportunities for our members.
For those who have yet to join, but see the benefits of the strong links that the Association has developed and continues to nurture, we look forward to welcoming you to our regular functions, events or activities.
